No snow and, worse yet, not even cold enough to make snow! Snow Valley will have its latest opening day ever, whenever that turns out to be, and the economy sucks – which may temper the number of mountain trips we go on this season. These are definitely times of quiet desperation for us urban skiers 
But all is not doom and gloom.
John Ross has kindly provided us with an alternative, or at least a photo of one. Now if only we can find a farmer with a bumper crop and a huge conveyor!! Hmm…Might be easier to just pray for colder weather.
