RMSSC at Alberta 55+ Winter Games

The RMSSC race team had a successful outing and a great time at the Alberta 55+ Winter Games in Lethbridge this past weekend.  It was a highly enjoyable and very well-organized event, from the terrific opening ceremonies to the friendliness of the host hill for the races, Castle Mountain.  The team raced a GS and a time-predicted run on Friday, followed by a 35-gate slalom on Saturday that really got everyone’s attention.  The hill was great, just challenging enough, and the snow was perfect racing snow (firm, but not too icy). Castle Mountain has expanded into a fantastic ski resort.
