On February 12th , 46 happy people set off for Panorama just as the sun was rising in the east. Stops were made at Red Deer for a quick coffee, Canmore for lunch and in Invermere for groceries.
We arrived in Panorama about 4 pm. It was nice to get there in the daylight so we could see and appreciate the many services available on the hill. Our accommodations were most delightful. Many of the rooms had a view of the hill and the hot tubs.
Sunday night in the Great Hall, we were treated to one of the best buffets ever experienced on our ski trips.
The next morning, most of our group met up with the ski hosts. This proved to be most enjoyable and many of us skied with the Mountain Friends all four days. They made getting around the mountain interesting, never skiing the same run twice. Bravo for Mountain Friends!
The sit-down dinner at the Heliplex was very good. Once again Glen McKenzie, catering manager, and his staff served a delicious dinner.
Our driver Patrick Neighill was most congenial getting us safely to Panorama and home again. Thanks to all of those who assisted the driver with loading and unloading all of our gear.
It was nice and quiet on the bus on the way home; everyone was grateful to rest after 4 fun, fantastic days on the hills at Panorama.
Many thanks to all of those who made our trip go smoothly: from the condo staff who helped sort out the key problems; to Holly Jones, the account manager who oversaw our trip plans; to the pleasant and friendly ski lift attendants; and to the housekeeping, bar, and restaurant staff.
A special thanks to all those on the trip for making our job so easy and enjoyable!
