Canmore Cycle Tour Overview – Third Week In June
If you enjoy being in the Rocky Mountains in high summer, moderate length bike rides, a good meal, and the fellowship of RMSSC members, this annual bike trip is for you. You are invited to self-drive to join the RMSSC group of approximately 80 club members for the Welcome Dinner in Canmore followed by an organizing meeting for the following three days of riding.
The daily bike rides accommodates green through black riding groups led by RMSSC volunteers. All routes include a stop for refreshments.We usually start our rides at 10 AM and with a shorter ride on the last morning to allow time to drive home. Weather and trail conditions permitting and depending our the leader’s route, rides for most groups may be from Canmore to Banff return via paved pathways or through the rough back country Goat Creek Trail, a 2nd riding day in Kananaskis and a morning ride in Canmore area for the last morning. Green riding routes will likely remain in and around the immediate Canmore area for all three days or as arranged by the volunteer leaders.
Calgary Cycle Tour – Third Week in July
If you think you would enjoy a riding experience on a mix of park and semi urban pathways in high summer the annual RMSSC Calgary Cycle Trip is for you. You are invited to self-drive to Calgary in the morning to join the RMSSC Club members, meet for an afternoon ride, check in your hotel and then meet for a Welcome Dinner the first day. The following three days include a variety of rides lead by member volunteers and likely will include Fish Creek Provincial Park as well as the pathways of the Elbow and Bow River Valleys. An optional road ride may also be included for those who wish to ride road bikes.
Canmore and Calgary Cycle Tours Accommodations: The organizers will arrange a group discounted rate at host hotels. The details and deadlines will be provided when the registration information is distributed to all members in the spring.

These RMSSC Cycle Tours are RMSSC sanctioned events and as such they are open only to members of the Club.
