Notice of Special Meeting 

The RMSSC Board has been fully engaged in the development and approval of the Bylaw updates leading to a Special Meeting and Special  Resolution.

In accordance with our RMSSC Bylaws and the Societies Act:

• A Special Meeting must be held and a Special Resolution must be approved by RMSSC members. 
• A Special Meeting requires notice to the members at least 21 days before it is held.  At least 10% of the total number of members must attend. 
• A Special Resolution must be introduced as a motion at a Special Meeting, receive a second for the motion and complete questions, comments and discussion before it can be voted on by the members.
• To approve a Special Resolution, at least 10% of the RMSSC members have to cast their vote and at least 75% of that number have to vote for approval.

The Special Meeting that has been called and the Special Resolution plans have been approved by the RMSSC Board of Directors and meet the requirements of our RMSSC Bylaws and the Societies Act.

Please review the documents in advance of attending the Special Meeting. The virtual meeting will take place September 30 using a Zoom platform. Members will be given time to consider the bylaws before the a vote concludes October 5.
