Notice of Special Meeting 

On behalf of the Membership, the Board manages RMSSC Bylaws, policies, and procedures. In 2025, revisions became a priority to meet Club Program and Member needs. Since June 2025, Directors have revised the Bylaws while representing Programs and Members. The Board approved proposed changes for the 2026 AGM and has since gathered Member feedback, made improvements, and approved an updated set of Bylaws.

 

The Board remains committed to RMSSC Club and Member needs and compliance with all legal and protocol requirements.

 

The Club President has called a special meeting to approve the updated bylaws.

RMSSC must follow these rules to approve the new bylaws:

• Members must receive at least 21 days’ notice of the Special Meeting.
• A Special Resolution must be moved and seconded at the Special Meeting.
• Members may ask questions before voting begins.
• Approval requires votes from at least 10% of RMSSC Members, with at least 75% voting in favour.

 

The face-to-face meeting will be held by Zoom on September 30 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Members will vote on a Special Resolution as required by Alberta’s Societies Act and RMSSC Bylaws.

 

Online voting runs from September 30 at 4:30 p.m. to October 5 at 2:29 p.m. The Board chose this format so travelling Members can participate.
