Residents of Edmonton and Strathcona County are invited to provide their feedback in an April 14 online Zoom presentation as well as an April 14-29 online survey regarding a new pedestrian footbridge that will span the North Saskatchewan River to connect Edmonton’s 167 Avenue and Township Road 540 (near the Riverside Nature Trail) in Strathcona County. Both the online presentation link and the survey can be found at edmonton.ca/edmontonstrathconafootbridge

On March 9, 2021, the jaw-dropping slopes to the right of Marmot Peak were opened to skiers for the first time in Marmot Basin’s 56 year history.

"This is the epitome of high alpine riding - steep, snow-filled, treeless terrain with breathtaking views of the surrounding Rocky Mountain Peaks," says Marmot Basin's Vice President Brian Rode.

He adds Marmot will stay open until May 2, so there's still plenty of time to check out the new terrain and enjoy all Marmot has to offer!
